We're focused on breeding huacaya alpacas that stay true to type, honoring the natural function and purpose God designed for them.

Finding the Farm and Alpacas
Hi, we are Jason and Emily. Even before we started our family, we had a dream to raise our kids on some land and give them what we called a vintage childhood. One full of innocence and freedom, where character is built through hard work and responsibility.
A decade later, we found our farm. The listing explained that it was an alpaca farm and that perhaps some of the animals could stay, if the new owners were interested. My answer to that was “no thank you”. We were thinking food – cattle and a large garden. I didn’t even know what an alpaca was!
But then we visited the property. We were immediately in love with the farm. So when an adorable, teddy bear face looked back at me from the fence, I said, “Cuuute! They can stay!”
Naming the farm
Our farm had been the Ely family homestead, which their family had been farming for 100 years. Mr. Ely grew up in this house. When his dad retired, he and his wife took over the farm. They converted it into a thriving alpaca farm. When Mr. and Mrs. Ely retired, they sold us the farm and our first three alpacas with the promise to be right by our side, mentoring us.
We were enamored with The Ely family story here and what they built. We were enamored with the tire swing grandpa had hung in the locust tree that he had planted decades ago.
When we pulled up to the farm the first time we toured it, our kids headed straight for that swing. I had always wanted a tire swing for my kids and joked that we bought the farm for the swing. Tire swings are iconic – nostalgic of a vintage childhood.
We weren’t here long before it was time to name the farm. We didn’t know yet all that our life here would hold. But we knew that we wanted to honor the Ely legacy while looking ahead to our goals here. That tire swing became the perfect bridge, symbolizing the foundation the Elys laid where our dreams now flourish.

Living Our Dream
The day we moved to the farm I still didn’t know what an alpaca was. We’re thankful for the Elys and the alpaca community. Both have been great teachers and support. Our first few years have been a crash course in all things alpaca. We’re all in - going deeper into the world of alpacas while adding diversity to the farm.
We couldn’t have imagined all that we’d learn, how much we’d grow, and how much joy these animals would bring. We often look at each other and say, “Can you believe we get to live here?” God puts dreams in our heart that He fulfills, all in His good time and beyond what we imagine.
One of our great joys is sharing this journey, these animals, and this place with others. I often say, “People don’t know they love alpacas because they haven’t met them yet.” It was true for me!
